OK, Choir, back on your feet! Break’s over and the Praise band and Carillon need a little help. Beginning in September, we will return to the standard rehearsal schedule - HeartSong at 6PM Tuesdays, Carillon at 6PM Wednesdays, followed by the Chancel Choir at 7PM. Sunday morning show up time for HeartSong, sound and computer techs is 7:45, and the Chancel Choir shall assemble by 10:15 for the 10:45 service. Let’s make it easy: Show-up times are an hour for HeartSong, 45 minutes for the Carillon, and half hour for Chancel Choir. Communion Sundays (first Sunday of the month combined service), begins at 9:30 AM, show-up times apply.
HeartSong is planning a fall retreat, time/date/location to be announced once schedules have settled in so all can participate.
Homecoming Sunday, September 13th. Bring someone to church, or come sing or play with one of our musical groups. The Chancel Choir, Carillon and HeartSong will all be participating in the combined service at 9:30AM. Followed by a BBQ with games and fellowship.
I’d like to thank HeartSong for rehearsing and playing at every service through the summer, and the Carillon for rehearsing and playing every month. The same goes to the Chancel Choir, who came out a couple of times too. We have a hard-working music department and I’m proud to be associated with all of them. Thank you volunteers!
Speaking of volunteers, we’re losing a Sound Tech and a percussionist to college. We hope to see their replacements at our next rehearsal.
